Seahawks rookie running back Justin Forsett wants a job real bad. And after Saturday’s preseason performance against the Chicago Bears, he’s going to get one.Forsett had 15 carries for 136 yards, his longest a 36-yard scamper. He punched one in from 10 yards out to give the Seahawks a short-lived lead in the fourth quarter. The Hawks eventually won a wild one at home 29-26 in overtime.
The seventh-round draft pick also had a combined seven kickoff and punt returns for 117 yards. A 40-yard punt return lead to a field goal in the second quarter and he ripped off a 33-yard kickoff return to open up the second half of play.
The Seahawks are crowded with players at the running back position and there’s a chance Forsett could be left of the 53-man roster and added to the practice squad. But with what he’s shown in the preseason, he’ll be picked up by another team before that happens.
