A-Rod’s wife filed for divorce today, saying the Yankee slugger and former Mariner is cheating on her. According to the filing: "The marriage of the parties is irretrievably broken because of the husband's extramarital affairs and other marital misconduct." The story has gotten better since New York tabloids have alleged A-Rod has been boinking Madonna. Backup catcher Jamie Burke climbed onto the mound in the 15th inning yesterday after Mariners used up every arm in the bullpen. He gave up one run in the inning as the Tigers went on to win 2-1 in 15 innings.
Ichiro is lone Mariner on All-Star team
In news of the obvious, Ichiro was named to the American League All Star team on Sunday. It’ll be his eighth appearance in the mid-summer classic. Also not surprisingly, no other Mariner was voted in.
