Morning Notes: How low can M’s go?

It’s getting harder and harder to watch this team. They can’t hit with runners in scoring position. They’re dropping routine fly balls and the Red Sox just completed a sweep of the M’s yesterday with a 6-3 loss in 12 innings. Just brutal.

Allen ranks 12th on NFL owner list
Mike Silver of Yahoo! ranks Seahawks owner Paul Allen 13th on his owner rankings list. Allen gets docked points for not being more like Patriots owner Robert Kraft and for allowing coach Mike Holmgren to work through a “lame-duck season.” Kraft and Cowboys owner Jerry Jones were ranked first and second respectively. Whatever.

‘A jerk worth keeping’
Kudos to the headline writer, but I don’t agree. Jim Moore makes the case for keeping Erik Bedard. With a shoulder injury, I’m not sure anyone would take him off the Mariners’ hands, anyway.

Huskies land first ’09 recruit
The Times reports that 6-foot-2, 181-pound quarterback Keith Price of St. John Bosco High in Bellflower, Calif. has committed to the Huskies for 2009. Now, everyone can step away from the ledge, it’s going to be fine. Deep breaths… there you go.

You know what that makes you? Lollygaggers
There’s always more room for vitriol and disgust of an M’s team that looks like it doesn’t care.

Love for The Glove
SuperSonicSoul is inducting players into the SuperSonicSoul Hall of Fame. Gary Payton is the first inductee.

Stop ripping me off Steve Kelley!
OK, it’s throw down time. Times columnist Steve Kelley kiped my lead from my Seahawks preview yesterday.
