OU at UW: First half thoughts

I understand that Husky quarterback Jake Locker is a gamer. But with the score 34-0 at the half, it’s time to put a ball cap on him for the rest of the afternoon. It appears Locker got the wind knocked out of him with 22 seconds left in the half. It could have been worse.

The Huskies have a chance to win some games in Pac-10 play this season. They have no chance if Locker gets injured. Locker’s played as well as one could hope against a very fast Oklahoma defense. He’s 10-17 for 106 yards passing. But every time he tries to run the football, a host of Sooners are waiting for him at the line of scrimmage. There isn't a half time adjustment on earth that's going to turn this thing around.

Oklahoma has 330 total yards on offense already at the half and two of their running backs (Brown 93 yards, and Murray 84 yards) are close to having 100-yard games. Three Huskies turnovers haven’t helped either.
