Former Sonics owner Howard Schultz has no intention of dropping his lawsuit against current owner Clay Bennett and is Professional Basketball Club ownership group. Schultz’s fraud and breach suit is a long shot according to many legal experts, but the former owner thinks this is the best opportunity for Seattle to get an NBA team back. Richard Yarmuth, Schultz’s attorney said of last week’s out-of-court settlement by the city of Seattle, "We didn't feel the assurances by the NBA were sufficient for us to abandon our separate lawsuit."The OKC Whatevers lose in summer league play
The team formerly known as the Sonics lost their first game of summer league play yesterday to the Indiana Pacers 95-78. The AP gives a breathless account of how the new black uniforms got there just in the nick of time. Kevin Durant was also on hand to watch, dressed in “a simple white T-shirt and the black shorts.” Apparently, the AP has turned into the E Network.
